Subaru debuts largest SUV in company history

With a lot of attention on the new 2018 models, Subaru has already started people thinking about 2019 with the debut of the Ascent SUV at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

The Ascent is the company's first three-row, eight-passenger SUV that comes with a 2.4-liter turbo engine and all-wheel drive. That engine produces 260 horsepower and 277 pound-feet of torque and with a continuously variable transmission. All trim levels have a 6.5-inch touchscreen with an 8-inch screen Premium, Limited and Touring models. Those top-tier models also have a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, heated seats, and blind-spot monitoring. Also available will be reverse automated braking, a power liftgate and a proximity key with push-button start.

Other premium items in the Ascent are leather upholstery on the Limited model along with LED headlights and retractable second-row sunshades. Navigation and a sunroof are available on the Premium and Limited models.

The 2018 Subaru Ascent is expected to go on sale in the summer of 2018 with a starting price of around $35,000. Our staff at Suburban Subaru will be happy to answer any questions you have about the Ascent or our other Subaru vehicles. Stop by and see us today.
