2020 Subaru Ascent vs 2019 Subaru Ascent

Serving Troy, MI

The Subaru Ascent is a capable, 3-row SUV that was initially introduced in 2019. Notably, it is the largest vehicle in Subaru’s line. As an all-new vehicle, the 2019 Ascent has a modern appeal and advanced technologies throughout. The 2020 Subaru Ascent is relatively unchanged, but it does have a few new features that add to its functionality. The Suburban Subaru team is eager to connect with you soon and show you what this exciting new model can deliver when you take it out on the road.

Performance

For the 2019 and 2020 model years, the Ascent is available in four trims, and these are all outfitted with the same powertrain. Specifically, the Ascent is powered by a turbocharged 2.4-liter, BOXER 4-cylinder gas engine that delivers 260 horsepower. All trims are also equipped with symmetrical all-wheel drive, vehicle dynamics control, X-Mode, hill descent control, traction control, torque vectoring control, electric power steering, brake assist, brake override, and other equipment. The same suspension system is also found across all four trims. This is a raised 4-wheel independent suspension system with 4-wheel ventilated disc brakes.

Appearance

The Ascent carries the capable, adventure-minded styling that its family is known for, and this styling is combined with sophisticated, gentle contouring across the sides. For both model years, the Ascent’s exterior is unchanged. Depending on the trim that you take home, you may benefit from 18-inch to 20-inch aluminum wheels with a silver or machined finish and all-season tires. Its equipment may include projector beam headlights or LED steering responsive headlights, LED foglamps, raised roof rails, a wiper de-icer, a tilting and sliding glass sunroof, and other equipment. A new feature for the 2020 model year is a power-folding function for the side mirrors. These mirrors may also have heat functionality and integrated turn signals.

Features

The only new feature found inside the 2020 Subaru Ascent is a rear seat reminder alert system, which is paired with all of the other exceptional safety technologies that are included in the 2019 model. These include the StarLink safety technologies, LATCH equipment, a rear or surround-view camera, TPMS, and other safety equipment. In addition to the superior safety features in the Ascent, you can enjoy numerous comfort and entertainment features in both model years. These include up to an 8-inch multimedia display screen, a navigation system, a standard or Harman Kardon Quantum sound system, dual-zone or tri-zone climate controls, and many other features.
